Sarah June Nicole Flournoy

Sarah Flournoy was born on August 21, 1985 in San Antonio, Texas.  She is currently 15 years old and is a Sophomore at Lago Vista High School.  Sarah is doing very well in her pre-AP classes and Spanish.  She enjoys learning new things.  She does not know what she would like to do for sure when she finishes her education, however she has expressed interests in Archeology/History, pursuing a music career, and serving a year and a half mission for the church.

Sarah is in her second year of attending early morning seminary.  She enjoys studying the scriptures and is becoming quite a fast scripture chaser!  She is in her second year of Mia Maids in the Young Women program in the Cedar Park Ward.

Sarah is concentrating her piano study on learning the hymns for now.  She is playing for Seminary and for Young Woman's meetings.  She is playing her saxaphone in the Lago Vista Band and is doing very well with it as well.  She recently recieved a guitar for her birthday and is waiting for a chance to learn the chords.  She has also written some origional compositions for the piano that I love.  They are kind of "new age" piano in type and she is working on some lyrics that would make great contemporary church music.   Sarah has a sweet and clear voice.  I am glad to see her start to use it more and more.  I think that Sarah has a lot of beauty and expression in her music.   I hope that she pursues it and shares it with others.

Sarah is doing well with her Spanish.  She says almost everything around the house in Spanish now.  I have a little problem with this. No hablo espano Sarita!

I am happy to have Sarah in our home.  She is a joy to be around.  She also is a great help to me.   I'd be lost without her!
